Daily Reflections:

Started the day with a grand breakfast and some precious Wi-Fi time with my girlfriend and family. Nothing like a good start to keep the spirits high. Took a dip in Many Glacier Lake, invigorating to say the least.

Along the way, I saw funny marmots having a brawl at Piegan Pass. Marmot fights are surprisingly entertaining. Arrived at Reynolds Creek to the sound of a campfire and banjo, where I got to know two fellow thru-hikers. As night fell and the others hadn’t yet arrived, a wave of solitude washed over me. Fear crept in. Am I really prepared for this wild journey?
