Daily Reflections (challenges, insights, musings):

Started the day with stunning views but a sense of being late—Granite took off ahead of me. He’s fast, that ex-military guy. The day was long, windy, and full of little annoyances like missed trails and unnecessary bushwhacking. My mood was all over the place.

The Cirque of the Towers ended in a frustrating series of lost trails, but the beauty of the landscape made up for it. As the day wore on, I struggled with thirst, my tent setup, and just about everything else.

At least tomorrow is a town day. Lander, here I come—after I get through this cow-dung-covered camp spot. Good night.

One of many climbs this day. From the lake up left. 250m up. Crazy winds.
