Daily Reflections (challenges, insights, musings):
Started the day with a hearty breakfast before tackling Knapsack Col. Going up was surprisingly easy, almost too easy… until I had to come down. Let’s just say wall climbing wasn’t in the plan, but there I was, making it up as I went along. A few slips in the glacier snow added to the adventure, but I made it. However, the rest of the day, I felt like I’d left my energy up on that peak.
Granite and I hiked together again, which was nice. We even spotted a porcupine—very cool, though not quite as exciting as a moose or bear. By the time we set up camp, I was beyond tired. Too much elevation, too little energy. Good night.
