Daily Reflections (challenges, insights, musings):

Today was one for the books—majestic vistas that stretched for miles, the taste of fresh berries along Webb Canyon, and yes, even some bear poop filled with those same berries (you know you’re deep in nature when your food preferences align with the local wildlife).

The day involved climbing many, many meters, with plenty of stops to eat and get to know fellow hikers. The group dynamic is great, though I’ve realized I need to be quicker at layering up when we stop. I cool down fast and it takes a bit to get going again.

The thunderstorms and hail added a bit of drama to the day, but spirits remained high. Looks like I might have some company on the trail come September, which would be fantastic. All in all, a beautiful day with even better company.
