Daily Reflections:

Woke up at 3:45 a.m.—great. Couldn’t fall back asleep, so naturally, I made the genius decision to mess with social media. Smart, right? Eventually, I listened to a non-sleep deep rest meditation, managed to drift off, and squeezed in a couple more hours of sleep.

Breakfast was a weird mix: sour cream, raspberries, and cantaloupe. Don’t ask—trail life makes you do strange things. Afterward, I hit three stores for resupply, even though I only needed a little bit. And then I went back to Cuba Cafe for a four-egg omelet. Good call. Solid fuel.

The hike started flat but transitioned into rolling hills and mesas—beautiful terrain. I mean, picture this: birds building their homes out of mud in little caves by the water. Just one of those moments that makes you stop and think, This is why I do this.

The sunset at the spring? Red and purple skies, almost like the Northern Lights. You can’t make this stuff up. Mother Nature really outdid herself tonight.

But now? I’m beyond tired. I’ve fallen asleep five times while trying to write this. That’s it—time for bed. Good night.
